Food for Life Bids Farewell to Chair of the Board

Food for Life bids a fond farewell to the Chair of the Board, Dr. Jeff Zabudsky.
In his tenure as the Chair of the Food for Life, Jeff Zabudsky demonstrated his passion for serving the community and his ability to be a thoughtful, inspiring leader.
With his skills and experience Jeff assisted the dedicated team of volunteer Board members to help guide the organization’s management and operations. Jeff led Food for Life to exceed its goals with the number of people served in the community along with the amount of fresh, nutritious food donated for those in need.
In 2015, 27,222 client visits were served every month through Food for Life supported programs with an increase to 38,000 clients visits for 2016. This year Food for Life will provide more than 175,000 meals per month through community partnerships.
“We are very grateful for everything Jeff has accomplished throughout his time with Food for Life,” says Catherine Potechin, Food for Life’s new Chair of the Board. “His innovative leadership has resulted in a significant impact in the community.”
Catherine Potechin, former Vice Chair of the Board will step into the role of Chair as voted by the Board of Directors.
John Trus, Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee states, “We are very confident to have Catherine lead our organization over the next three years as we execute our strategic plan, pursue smart growth and continue serving our communities.”
Jeff will be leaving Sheridan as President and Vice Chancellor in the near future to pursue an international opportunity in higher education and Food for Life wishes him every success.
